Core Values

Harry the Bear The “Harry the Bear” children’s book series apply real-life challenges that children face and deliver it in a relevant, clever and positive atmosphere. These stories teach children through action, fun and a bit of adversity. Whether a kid is looking down a half-pipe and afraid of dropping in, or may get discouraged with difficult homework, “Harry the Bear” teaches children to conquer their fears, and GO FOR IT!

These stories are also intended to promote core values and ethics such as promoting teamwork, the value of friendship, confidence and respect. In the first story,
Harry the Incredible Skateboarding Bear, his friends Gus and Joey exemplify team building and mutual respect. They come to understand Harry’s desire to try something new and difficult and to meet new friends. They offer their guidance to Harry to help him achieve his dream of learning to skateboard.

Harry the Bear promotes reading proficiency through rhyming verse and language which is relevant, fun and imaginative. Children love the colorful artwork, which realistically depicts the real life action of the maneuvers performed. Children relate to the Harry character because they are like him – they want to bust big tricks, catch huge air, and Harry does just that!
